How to Lose Tummy Fat Fast

Do you want to lose tummy fat fast?

Then there is good news for you. Back when I was in my ‘larger days’ this was all I thought about. The quickest way to lose tummy fat is not doing dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of sit ups, the quickest way to lose tummy fat fast is single incredibly easy exercise and a very easy diet plan.

Sit ups don’t really have any effect on fat. If you are not dieting to lose weight, all you are doing is building up stronger and stronger upper abdominal muscles still hidden under a layer of fat

Sit ups don’t even strengthen all the abdominal muscles. They are best for the muscles over your belly button. They in effect can change a “paunch” (beer belly) into a “pooch” (accumulation of jiggly fat in the lower abdomen). Without the right posture, sit ups can even make tummy fat less attractive.

Start With Posture

That is why it is so important to start with good posture. With the right posture, you can use the simple act of breathing as your main abs exercise.

Try this simple routine: Get a sturdy chair that won’t tip or roll over. Sit on the very edge of your chair. Straighten your back and elongate your neck, but don’t elevate your chin.

Now take a single deep breath, as much as you can breathe in. Hold your breath to a count of three, and blow out the air through your mouth to a count of eight. Relax for a moment, and then take in another deep breath, just as much as your lungs can hold. Hold your breath to a count of three, and breathe out again to a count of eight. All the time, keep your back straight and your neck elongated. No slouching!

This simple exercise uses all your ab muscles and all the muscles that support them. It slows your pulse and lowers your blood pressure, too. It moves your muscles so that they don’t hide behind fat. They become as visible to the world as they possibly can be. Simply changing your posture redistributes the fat that you can later lose as you diet.

Then Diet

It’s almost impossible to for women to flatten their stomachs without dieting, but dieting does not have to be difficult. One of the most reliable approaches, pioneered by Dr. Barbara Rolls of The Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, and popularized by Jillian Michaels of NBC’s The Biggest Loser, is a method of dieting called volumetrics.

In volumetrics, you fill up on low-calorie, low-density, watery foods, but not water or beverages. As long as your food has little tiny bits of solid food suspended in a liquid, you stomach has to hold the entire liquid for digestion. Beverages pass right on through. Dr. Rolls’ discovery was that starting a meal with a bowl of a low-calorie soup, eaten slowly, makes it possible to eat 150 to 300 fewer calories during the meal with no other efforts to diet.

So, to lose weight safely and fat without counting calories, exchanging points, or eliminating favorite foods, think soup. Eat a bowl of soup before lunch and a bowl of soup before dinner. You’ll feel fuller, and you will naturally lose one-half pound to a pound of fat a week, the equivalent of two to four sticks of butter.

The Mindset

The next time you are in the market, look at (but don’t necessarily buy) a box of butter. Think of that much fat coming off your abs every week to two weeks. In no time at all you will have beautiful abs uncovered from your body fat, maintained naturally by good posture and breathing, and the amazing power of soup.
